Brutally Honest

Hi all~

So last week at work something funny happened. I got this table at work and they were a family for four. There was nothing unusual about them or the situation. Then it happened.

I was busy working so naturally I was a little sweating from carrying plus 30 lbs. (plus I sweat pretty easy anyway) trays and walking around the restaurant. I also had laid out in the sun before going to work so I was also a bit sunburnt. Thus, the little boy (about 6 yrs. old) at the table said,
"Hey mister, you're sweaty, and pretty red too" in a loud speech impaired voice.

Subsequently he said it one more time for good measure. In all my time being a server I never had been so embarrassed. I mean I had been through much worse than that, (as far as comments directed towards me) but I was looking for the nearest cliff to dive from at that moment.

This brings me to my point. Kids are brutally honest. How many times when you were growing up did your mom say something about your dad and you turn around and tell your dad what your mom said? I mean kids have not developed that buffer to know when something might embarrass someone.

Just one of the things I got to look forward to in the future...

Old Farmer's Advice

" Life is easier when if you plow around the stump." - Ole' Farmers Advice.

In a difficult and challenging world that we live in this advice can be gold. I will admit many times in my teenage years I wanted to plow through the stump. Life is already difficult enough, don't make it harder on yourself.

With that being said here are the 3 common sense ideas to avoid the stumps of life.
1. Don't clap after an eulogy.
2. If you're going to do something that your mother would not be proud of don't post it on Facebook.
3. Don't lose your common sense around rail road tracks.

Live life to the fullest.

The University of Cincinnati.

The University of Cincinnati is a great university.

The University of Cincinnati has many prominent and notable programs. They are nationally recognized in the Engineering, Design and Architecture, Music, Theater, and Business programs. The University is in an Urban setting in what we student and Cincinnatian's call 'Clifton.' Located in Cincinnati this campus has many unique features to offer students and potential students. Located centrally in Cincinnati it allows access to all the cities greatest areas and activities.

Perhaps the greatest fortune that has occurred has been the upcoming football program at UC. UC has a great football team. With two consecutive bowl games these past two years and three years Big East Champions, it has been very exciting around campus.

Conceivably the greatest aspect about this University is that you (or your parents) won't break the bank with tuition. This University is competitive and an affordable price.

Warning: Get a parking permit because parking is ridiculous.
